If you have an upcoming trip to Disneyland, you may be wondering what you should pack.

We usually give you packing tips and tricks as well as what is considered a Disney essential, like power banks and comfortable shoes, but we are switching it up this time. Here are five things that we are begging you to quit bringing with you when you visit Disneyland.
Let’s get into our list of what you should NOT bring to Disneyland!

A Speaker
While we are sure you have great taste in music, you are going to want to leave your speaker at home or in your hotel room. Disneyland security is usually pretty good about catching speakers, as they do manual bag checks. If you do end up bringing a speaker, you will be asked to return it to your car or check it at one of Disneyland’s hotel bell services. People pay a ton of money to be immersed in the Disney bubble and do not want to listen to your music.

A Selfie Stick
Selfie sticks were banned from both Disneyland and Disney World in 2015, but almost a decade later, people are still trying to bring them in. You still can bring in vlogging equipment like a gimbal, but selfie sticks are a no-go.

Rapid Fill Mug
Disneyland does not offer a Rapid Fill program like Disney World does. Typically, if you buy a Rapid Fill mug, you can bring it back to Disney World to be re-activated, but that is not the case at Disneyland. Save yourself the suitcase space and leave your Disney World refill mug at home!

Popcorn Bucket
Disneyland sells popcorn buckets, and you can get them refilled. The difference is there is no discount for refills like there is at Disney World. You can still bring a bucket with you, but you will still have to pay the full price.

There is an exception to this rule, as sometimes Disneyland runs special promotions for Magic Key holders to get discounted refills on popcorn.

Loose Ice
Just like at Disney World, you are allowed to bring your own food and drink into the parks. Disneyland even has a dedicated picnic area outside of the park where you can enjoy your food. Just make sure not to bring loose ice to keep your food and drinks cold, as it is prohibited. You can put ice in a baggie, or better yet, bring a reusable ice pack.

Disney World Apparel
It can be so painful to see a family super excited wearing matching shirts to Disneyland, only to see that they printed “Disney World Family Vacation” on their shirts. So, if you are making your own shirts, make sure to remember that Disneyland and Disney World are two different places.

You may also get some funny looks for wearing Disney World merchandise around the parks, but a lot of the time, Disneyland and Disney World have similar merchandise, and the resort name is just changed.

Before you head to Disneyland, make sure you don’t bring these five items with you. For more Disneyland tips and to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
The Very Specific Rules About Bringing a Bag to Disneyland

You forgot the biggest “don’t bring” item: a STROLLER. Leave the little ones at home until they’re old enough to walk. And for god sakes, don’t even think about bringing a double-wide or a crib on wheels.
It was created for ALL including small children. Don’t like small children — and they do get tired and need strollers — go to parks geared towards adults so you don’t come across as ignorant and hateful.
Back in 2014 I wore Perry the Platypus ears to Disney World. Since the show was current at the time, I had at least 10 people ask me where to go to get them. Unfortunately I had to keep telling them that they were only available in the Anaheim park.
