Picture this: a high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled competition, all set in the most magical place on earth—Disney World! Sounds absolutely bananas, right? Well, that’s exactly what the AllEars crew and I signed up for when we took on our own version of The Amazing Race!
This intense competition was part strategy, part chaos, and 100% awesome! The best part is that we also learned a lot of fun Disney tips along the way that are sure to make your trip to Disney World even more AMAZING! And today I’m sharing with you the ultimate way to get the highest score at this popular Magic Kingdom attraction.
On the first day of the AllEars Amazing Race, one of our challenges involved the popular attraction Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Located inside Tomorrowland, this ride blasts you straight into an intergalactic mission alongside Buzz Lightyear to take down the evil emperor Zurg.
Riders are equipped with a laser blaster to take on Zurg and his evil robot army. But our task was much more than just riding the attraction; we had to score Galactic Hero to move on to the next round!
To earn the coveted title of Galactic Hero, you need to max out your score at an impressive 999,999 points on the ride—the highest score you can get! And it’s no walk in the park (or Tomorrowland, for that matter).
Luckily for some of us (unfortunately Team Q & A was not so fortunate…) we had the chance to earn some insider tips from our host on those high-value targets to gather as many points as possible.
And, in case you’re up to the challenge, here are our top three tips that’ll help you score that Galactic Hero title!
1. The inside of the left hand of the giant orange robot
2. The top of the volcano.
3. The Z at the bottom of Zurg’s ship in the room with the batteries.
These tips are sure to guarantee you some hefty points and lead you to Galactic Hero victory!

We are a family of three. My adult son insists on being the one to sit on his own. He gets Galactic Hero on one laser shooter then slides along the seat to get the same again on the other one. Beat that!
You missed a big one. As you leave the first room, turn around and on the ceiling is a target worth 100,000. I’m disappointed when I don’t get Galactic Hero.
