The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays offers hundreds of festive snacks and drinks. But, unless your budget is infinite and you plan to visit EPCOT like it’s your full-time job, you probably can’t eat EVERYTHING at the festival. Luckily, we do that for you to bring you the BEST snacks and drinks of the festival!
We’re reporting LIVE from EPCOT, where we’re trying all the new holiday snacks and drinking all the festive drinks. This year, the festival runs through December 30th, 2024. It’s a short and sweet little festival, so we don’t have much time to waste — let’s dive in and see what we loved this year.
Welcome to the Festival of the Holidays! This year, there are several excellent Holiday Kitchens serving up some warm comfort food. Plus, the Candlelight Processional is a fan-favorite event, and the International Storytellers from around World Showcase are something you cannot miss.
After LOTS of Holiday Kitchen visits, we have made our way around EPCOT, and now we have a list of the very BEST items for you to try. Here’s our full look at the best eats, best drinks, and other unique items you’ll want to check out.
Quincy’s Favorites
Quincy couldn’t stop raving about the Apple Caramel Crumble from Holiday Hearth Desserts! It’s a combination of apples, cinnamon, and caramel, all wrapped up in a delicious coffee cake-like treat. Just look at her — she clearly loves it.
The France booth — Le Marche de Noel — was a hit all around. The Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini was delicious according to Quincy, along with the Crème De Saumon Fumé en Brioche (a smoked salmon sandwich) and the Rôti de Jambon (roasted ham with mushrooms, pearl onions, bacon, white wine mustard sauce, and roasted potatoes.
Emma’s Favorites
Emma really enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Potato Latke from L’Chaim! The salmon was smoky and salty and a hit again for us this year. It pairs so well with the crispy latke and the dill-heavy sour cream on top for a bright finish.
The Coffee Mocha Cookie from Mele Kalikimaka is topped with coffee-infused buttercream, cocoa nibs, and chocolate-covered espresso beans and Emma LOVED it. he buttercream was light and air-whipped, while the cookie itself was perfectly soft without being too moist. If you’re a coffee fan, you need to try this!
And finally, Emma also enjoyed the Toshikoshi Soba — buckwheat soba noodles in a hot dashi (fish-based) soup topped with shrimp tempura and chopped green onion. The soup has a rich and salty flavor, and the noodles are wonderfully soft. The tempura can get a bit soggy if you let it sit in the bowl too long, so make sure to eat it quickly.
Breedlove’s Favorites
Breedlove had a special mission today — to check out all of the merchandise available at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays! He said his Best of the Fest was this human-sized Figment Sweater you can actually purchase!
Myranda’s Favorites
At the Yukon Holiday Kitchen booth, Myranda LOVED the Beef Bourguignon with crushed potatoes. The beef and vegetables were so tender and swimming in that rich, salty broth. It’s such a hearty dish and one she’d gladly get again and again!
The Bauducco Panettone Holiday Trifle from the Favorites of Festivals Past booth was another hit for Myranda. This holiday dessert is layered with eggnog custard and cranberry cherry compote. The cranberry-cherry compote was sweet and tangy and mixed so well with the eggnog custard – which tasted mostly like vanilla to us.
Also from the Favorites of Festivals Past booth was the Keel Farms Pecan Pie Hard Cider. It was sweet and nutty without being overpowering, which made it Myranda’s favorite today!
At American Holiday Table, Myranda enjoyed the Blackened Catfish with Hoppin’ John and Comeback Sauce. The salmon is cooked to perfection. It is super tender and soft and just falls apart with a fork. There are lots of great spices and the dish tastes really bright and fresh.
And, the SNICKERS-Doodle Cookie was another hit. The cookie was chewy with just the right amount of crunch. The combination of Snickerdoodle and Snickers is definitely a winning combination, and Myranda really enjoyed this cookie.
Angie’s Favorites
The returning Pork Schnitzel is served with mushroom sauce, spätzle, and braised red cabbage — and it was one of Angie’s favorites this year. It tastes very fresh and the crispy pork with the sauce is very well as close to perfection as you can get. There’s a nice sweetness from the cabbage and the spätzle adds a nice additional texture.
But, Angie’s favorite item she tried today was the Ponche Navideño from the NocheBuena Cocina booth! It is a Christmas punch with apple, pears, guava, oranges, dried hibiscus, brown sugar, tamarind, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. It tastes like a fruity sangria without the alcohol, and she loved the cinnamon and brown sugar that is part of it.
Best Booth
There were SO many contenders for the Best Booth at this year’s EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, but Le Marche de Noel in the France Pavilion just can’t be beat! There wasn’t a single thing on this menu that we didn’t like — in fact, we loved everything we tried!
The Crème De Saumon Fumé en Brioche is SO fresh tasting! The radish and cucumber add a nice crunch and brightness to the otherwise smoky salmon flavor. It’s mild and not too fishy, and the bun itself was soft and had a nice flavor as well.
The Rôti de Jambon is roasted ham with mushrooms, pearl onions, bacon, white wine mustard sauce, and dauphin roasted herb potatoes. You definitely need to like ham to enjoy this dish, and lucky for us – we do! It’s salty, savory, and hearty without being overly heavy. The mushrooms and potatoes are a nice complement to the salty ham as well.
For dessert, we tried the Bûche de Noël — a traditional French holiday dessert. It’s a chocolate fudge Christmas log with a caramel cream center. This was pretty solid! It’s a delicious chocolate and caramel combination.
To drink, we grabbed the Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini made with Vodka, chocolate milk, and whipped cream. It tastes just like frozen chocolate milk – you can hardly taste the vodka. This is a popular drink and you’ll have people asking where you got it!
We even loved the NEW Spiced Cranberry Punch made with Pol Rémy Sparkling Wine, cranberry juice, orange juice, and spiced brown sugar. This is SO good – it reminds us of a holiday mimosa with cranberry and spiced brown sugar. It’s a bit on the sweet side, but we really enjoyed it!
Best for Kids
You can’t beat the Cookie Stroll at this festival. What kid (and let’s face it, adult) doesn’t want to go on a cookie scavenger hunt that comes with a prize at the end?!
With the cookie stroll, you purchase 5 cookies from any of the cookie stroll locations in the Festival Passport. As you buy the cookies, you’ll get a stamp for each one and once you’ve collected them all, you can turn your passport in for a prize. This year the surprise was cookie mix to make your own cookies at home!
This year, we really enjoyed the SNICKERS-Doodle Cookie made with SNICKERS bar pieces from American Holiday Table…
…the Coffee Mocha Cookie topped with coffee-infused buttercream, cocoa nibs, and chocolate-covered espresso beans from Mele Kalikimaka…
…and the Hazelnut Linzer Cookie from Bavaria Holiday Kitchen!
