16 Disney World Stores Are CLOSED…With No Reopening Date in Sight

As much as we might like to complain about the prices, there really is nothing like shopping at Disney World.

Disney Merchandise is our JAM!

I mean, you can just about get anything that your heart wants — from clothing to cookware, and so much more! Now, if you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon, we do have to warn you as you might want to double-check your shopping wish list. Why is that? Glad you asked. It’s because there are 16 stores across the parks and resorts are currently closed, and there’s no word on when, or if, they’ll reopen. Let’s talk about it!

As we were saying, there are currently 16 stores across the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs are closed, and at the moment, there’s no word on if or when they’ll be opening back up.

We even checked Disney World’s calendar all the way out to January 25th, 2025, and every single one of these locations has “No times available.”

Let’s break down the list so you know what to expect (or NOT expect) on your next visit.

Magic Kingdom

    • Agrabah Bazaar
    • Casey Jr. Railroad Mercantile
    • Newsstand
Storybook Circus

It’s no secret that Magic Kingdom is the place for Disney shopping, so it’s wild to see these spots completely unavailable. Fingers crossed these locations don’t stay in “closed” territory for long.

EPCOT

    • The Brass Bazaar
    • Casablanca Carpets
    • Der Teddybar
    • El Ranchito del Norte
    • Marketplace in the Medina
    • Mitsukoshi Kiosk
    • Tangier Traders
Morocco Pavilion

EPCOT is definitely feeling the sting with seven closures. That’s a lot of cultural treasures and unique finds off the table. These shops have always added extra magic to World Showcase, so their indefinite closure is a major bummer.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

    • Disney Studio Store
    • In Character
    • Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While Hollywood Studios is all about the glitz and glam, these closures are anything but. The Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost is especially missed because who doesn’t want to channel their inner adventurer with some cool Indy-inspired gear?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

    • The Outpost Shop

Animal Kingdom’s Outpost Shop, known for its nature-inspired goodies, is currently unavailable too. It’s one of those spots you don’t realize you love until it’s gone.

Disney Springs & Resorts

    • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney Springs
    • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Last but definitely not least, these Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques are still in limbo. These locations have been paused for a while, and it doesn’t look like a reopening is in the cards anytime soon.

What’s Going On?

So what’s the deal, Disney? Now, we don’t have an official explanation for why these stores are closed or if they’ll ever come back. Is it staffing issues? Budget cuts? A total revamp in the works? Your guess is as good as ours.

In the meantime, if these closures affect your shopping plans, you’ll want to explore other nearby options to grab your Disney souvenirs. And don’t worry, because there are PLENTY of other shops all across Disney World to be explored.
