Don’t miss this meal.
Eating at Disney World can be a bit overwhelming. The amount of options – – while ensuring there’s something for every possible palette – – can make it very hard to narrow it all down to a simple meal. Plus, as we all know, it can be an expensive proposition. However, if you happen to find yourself in EPCOT, there’s a cost-effective and basic in the best way meal that’s perfect for a Disney World lunch.
At La Catina De San Angel, the quick-service eatery outside of the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase, we love the kids meals.
Yup, you read that right, the kids meal.
For less than $10, we can get two chicken tacos (marinated grilled chicken on corn tortillas), a side of tortilla chips and melted cheese, fruit, and a drink. While these aren’t the “best” chicken tacos in the world, they’re more than acceptable for lunch, with delicious tortillas, nicely charred chicken, and chips and cheese (and, as always, you can never go wrong with chips and cheese).
There are several potential benefits to going with this kids meal. For starters, there’s the obvious budgetary thought. This filling meal costs $9.50, significantly cheaper than a comparable adult-sized portion.

There’s also a “portion budget” as it were. This smaller size allows one to prevent overeating during the day, especially if they’re planning to have a large meal somewhere else in World Showcase (for example) later that night.
If you’re looking to budget your eating at EPCOT, whether financially, portion-wise, or both, stop by the La Cantina San Angel for some kid’s chicken tacos! Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney food tips.

You address money-wise and portion-wise . . . but what about time-wise? In a Disney park, time can be the most important thing to budget.
