We can’t wait to check out all the souvenirs for us to shop, entertainment to see, characters to meet, and of course — all those holiday eats and treats we’ve got to try! We’re not wasting any time, either, so let’s go!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights from November 8th to December 20th in Magic Kingdom and is a whole lot of festive fun. We’re checking things out on the first night so you know what to plan for on your visit and that includes trying a whole lot of snacks!

We’ll be updating this post with all the snacks we try throughout the night, so keep checking back for our full reviews!

Aloha Isle

Over at Aloha Isle, you can get the Holiday Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice Float for $9 made with pineapple-orange-guava juice, coconut soft-serve, and a spiced pineapple tree pop.

Holiday Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice Float

First off, we love the Christmas tree cake pop with this. It did have some hints of gingerbread and had a moist texture.

We love the cake pop!

The float itself though, tasted like a regular float here. It has the same ingredients as the Tropical Serenade float which you can get during regular hours. For this reason, it’s a skip unless you love the original tropical serenade.

Dig in!

Next, the Cranberry Citrus Float for $6.49 is made with Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and fruity boba pearls topped with DOLE Whip.

The Cranberry Citrus Float

We think this is a great value. The popping boba pearls added a festive take to the float. It was cranberry-forward, without tasting artificial, which went nicely with the citrus flavors.

Cranberry Citrus Float

Overall, we would choose the Cranberry Citrus Float over the Holiday Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice Float as it is cheaper and something more unique.

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies

We’re heading to grab some sweet treats at Auntie Gravity’s.

Auntie Gravity’s

The Lump of Coal In Your Stocking for $8.49 from Auntie Gravity’s is a cookies and cream shake topped with whipped cream, cookies and cream crumbles, and a chocolate doughnut hole. This is a pretty standard cookie and cream milkshake with doughnut holes.

Lump of Coal In Your Stocking

Since it’s your basic shake, we recommend trying other sweet treats at the party that are more unique, but if you have someone less adventurous in your party who just wants a normal milkshake, this is great.

The doughnut holes

Or, you can grab the Smoky Chocolate Brownie Sundae for $8.29 — a house-baked brownie topped with smoky chocolate soft-serve covered in chocolate cone dip topped with marshmallows and festive sprinkles. This was ODD to us. The smoky taste comes from the hardshell chocolate. We could really taste the smoke flavor here and it even lingers around after the bite.

Smoky Chocolate Brownie Sundae

The brownie bites tasted like a prepackaged item and the chocolate ice cream was very basic. The toasted marshmallows weren’t very fresh and reminded us of Lucky Charms marshmallows.

Casey’s Corner

There was so much here that we wanted to try so let’s dig in!

Casey’s Corner Round-Up

The Holiday Dinner Hot Dog for $12.99 sounds serious: It’s an all-beef hot dog with turkey and gravy, fried onions, and cranberry sauce. The toppings stood out here. It’s very heavy so we recommend getting this as a meal instead of a snack.

Holiday Dinner Hot Dog

However, we felt like this was a lot of meat between the large hot dog and the turkey topping. This will definitely fill you up.

You can also grab the Holiday Dinner Loaded French Fries for $6.99: French fries with turkey and gravy, fried onions, and cranberry sauce. We liked the toppings on these and felt like all the ingredients really worked together here. We liked them over the fries slightly better than the hot dog because of the ability to scoop the toppings with the fries. We felt like they were very generous with the toppings making the price point worth it.

Holiday Dinner Loaded Fries

For dessert, there’s the Candy Cane Tart for $6.29. It’s a chocolate tart filled with peppermint ganache topped with festive meringue. This reminds us a lot of a thin mint.

Candy Cane Tart

The chocolate filling is very creamy and smooth, which we loved. The peppermint on top is light, but the flavor is very strong.

And to wash it all down, there’s the Black Currant and Mint Lemonade for $7.29! This was a fruity drink which isn’t surprising due to the lemonade ingredient. The mint comes as an aftertaste and lightens up the sweetness of the lemonade.

Main Street Snacks

The Festive Pretzel for $12.50 is a jumbo pretzel with chocolate-hazelnut drizzle, caramel sauce, TWIX Cookie Bar Pieces, and festive sprinkles. We LOVE this guy! We love a sweet and savory option and for the price, I think this is super worth it. It’s massive so easily shareable and they don’t hold back on the toppings. The pretzel is perfectly salty and there is so much hazelnut spread and caramel drizzle with large chunks of Twix. Our downside was that it’s very messy, so be sure to grab those napkins!

Festive Pretzel

The Gingerbread Cola for $5 certainly sounds interesting! It’s Coca-Cola served with gingerbread syrup. We can’t lie to you — Emma wasn’t the biggest fan. She says that it is really sweet and almost reminds her of medicine. The gingerbread syrup has a hint of cinnamon and sugar. Overall, if you want a pick-me-up, she recommends just getting a regular Coke.

The Friar’s Nook

Let us start by saying this stop was a divisive one for our team and we had some differing opinions.

Quincy trying all the snacks!

Next up is the Holiday Pot Roast Hot Dog for $12.99. It’s an all-beef hot dog topped with braised pot roast, Swiss fondue, horseradish mustard, and crispy onions. This was Quincy’s favorite item of the night. It was very hearty and loaded up.

Holiday Pot Roast Hot Dog

Emma however disagrees. She mentions that it was dull to her and she wishes it had more flavors. We were surprised at how well the bun held up the toppings as we felt like it could have fallen apart.

The Italian Beef Tots for $11.49 are topped with braised beef, cheese curds, zesty giardiniera, and red wine gravy. There was common ground found on this snack as both Emma and Quincy liked these. However, they feel like it has a similar flavor profile as the loaded fries at Casey’s Corner and they would choose those instead.

Italian Beef Tots

It’s heavy on the beef and it was very tender. The pickled jalapenos added some nice heat to this dish. Our only wish was there were more cheese curds!

For something sweet, you can grab the Sugar Cookie Hand Pie for $6.29 — sugar cookie dough wrapped in a flaky crust with icing and festive sprinkles. We were very curious about this treat. The crust is pretty hard and almost has a caramelized sugar coating on it. This glaze was also melty causing a mess for us.

Sugar Cookie Hand Pie

Quincy didn’t mind the mess though. The inside filling tasted exactly like sugar cookie dough. It reminds her of making Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve and eating the batter.

The Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart for $6.49 with graham cracker ganache macaron can be found here as well. We did not enjoy this. We felt the flavor was too light, almost making the treat taste watered down.

Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart

This treat missed the mark for us and for the price, we feel like there are better options out there to get your sweet tooth fix in.

This was a skip for us.

And finally, you can find an Eggnog Shake for $8.49 here. It’s eggnog soft-serve with ginger snap crumbles topped with whipped cream and festive sprinkles. It is very eggnog flavor-heavy, which we really appreciate. We felt like all it’s missing is the alcohol, which you won’t find in quick-service restaurants anyways at the Magic Kingdom. Quincy says this was the best ice cream of the night even over the ice cream sandwich at the Plaza.

Eggnog Shake

This one goes to show you that everyone has different ideas of what is good at the parties and what some like, others might not!

Pinocchio Village Haus

We’re heading to Pinocchio Village Hause to grab two new items.

Yum

We can’t wait to try the Baked Brie Flatbread for $13.29 made with a brie-cheese spread, mango chutney, green apples, arugula, almonds, and a honey drizzle. This flatbread is SO good! It is such a great combo of sweet and savory. The Brie is melted well and it is super creamy and has a great flavor. The mango chutney reminds me more of orange marmalade, but it is delicious nonetheless. It has a slight mango flavor but not overpowering at all. But the fruity chutney complements the Brie.

Baked Brie Flatbread

The apples added a wonderful texture and had a bit of a crunch to them but not hard to eat and not mushy. They added a lovely bit of tartness to the dish. The arugula was a little sparse on the pizza but when you did get a piece it worked well with all the flavors. The sweet honey drizzle was the perfect finish and we were impressed with how well all the flavors work together. The crust was thin and crunchy and was able to hold up all the ingredients.

We loved this item!

The Black Forest Parfait for $5.99 is a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and cherry chantilly topped with brandy-cherry compote and chocolate popping candies. The chocolate cake and chocolate mousse have a wonderful deep chocolate flavor and the cherry compote is fantastic. The compote has full soft cherries mixed in that add a pop of tart cherry. We wish there was a bit less whipped cream on top, but it is yummy. The description says topped with popping candies but we didn’t notice any popping in our bites.

Black Forest Parfait

If you are a fan of Black Forest cake this parfait does not disappoint, it has all the flavors and they combine perfectly for a delicious parfait.

Golden Oak Outpost

We’re heading over to Golden Oak Outpost to try some sweet and savory snacks.

Golden Oak Outpost

Calling all chicken nugget fans! The Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter for $11.29 comes with crispy chicken nuggets with sage butter and cranberry barbecue glaze served with mashed potatoes and corn. We felt like this portion was more of a kid’s meal size and for the price, we were disappointed in the value.  We wish we could have tasted more of the cranberry barbecue sauce on the dish because what we could taste of it, was good. This was just not something we suggest to go out of your way.

Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter

For dessert, grab the Festive Beignets for $7.29! Light and fluffy beignets dusted with blue sugar cookie dust and served with cookie butter icing are on the menu. These were the highlight snacks for us! We weren’t sure that beignets could get any better, but Disney World did it! They have a light sugar cookie dusting and the glaze adds so much to them. We felt like this was still a good value with the 3 beignets and we would grab these again.

Festive Beignets

A Fried Ice Cream Christmas Tree for $8.79?! This is peppermint ice cream rolled in cereal topped with green cookie butter whipped cream and festive sprinkles. Myranda loves fried ice cream traditionally, but this was not a hit for her. She noted that it has a smooth peppermint flavor and it wasn’t too overpowering. Watch out — this thing falls apart very quickly.

Fried Ice Cream Christmas Tree

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

We’re heading to Pecos Bill to try something savory and something sweet.

Let’s eat!

The Carne Asada Loaded Fries for $11.99 are made with carne asada, chipotle queso, caramelized onion, avocado salsa verde, and queso fresco. These fries weren’t our favorite. They have a lot of toppings, which can be pretty heavy if you’re looking just to snack. The fries are very seasoned and the fries themselves were delicious!

Carne Asada Loaded Fries

The carne asada was very tough and had a very strong smoky/chili pepper flavor. The chipotle queso was similar to plastic cheese with a bit of chipotle flavor. I liked the creaminess the queso fresco added and the avocado salsa verde added additional creaminess. Chili pepper and chipotle were the overwhelming flavors in this dish, but the meat just wasn’t great because it was so tough.

Carne Asada Loaded Fries

Wash it all down with a Salted Caramel Horchata for $5.49! This drink is a very sweet drink but the combination of milk, cinnamon, and caramel was wonderful. The balance between all the flavors was great and they melded together really well.

Salted Caramel Horchata

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Sleepy Hallow… we need to talk. We have lots of questions about our snacks here. We felt like we were at a mall’s food court, not Disney World.

What in the world?

The Orange Chicken Tenders for $10.99 are fried chicken tenders with orange-soy glaze, glass noodles, green onions, and crispy garlic, and they sound delicious! The orange chicken tenders were just okay for us, the standard Disney tender. They tasted like your classic orange sauce but were almost a bit dry. It is also pretty difficult to eat how it is given out. They are saucy enough to where you probably don’t want to pick them up but it is hard to cut inside the box. We would recommend skipping.

Orange Chicken Tenders

Or, grab the Szechuan Cauliflower for $8.99.  This is a spicy breaded cauliflower tossed in a Szechuan-soy glaze. The cauliflower was soft on the inside and had a nice breading. It actually had a bit of spice to it and would probably not be a good option for kiddos. This was my favorite of the three dishes as it seemed the most unique. The sauce was tasty and was kind of a spicy orange sauce but the cauliflower was better coated with sauce compared to the chicken tenders.

For dessert, there’s the Brownie Peppermint Bark for $5.49 with peppermint candy pieces. The bark thing is not good. I am not sure if it has been sitting for a while or something but it is super hard and stale tasting. Really hard to eat and I barely ate any of it. It may have had a nice chocolate flavor but the staleness of it made it pretty much inedible.

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

The Gingerbread Milk Shake for $8.99 is made with vanilla ice cream, gingerbread syrup, and ginger snap crumbles topped with whipped cream and a chocolate piece. This was creamy and refreshing, but it mostly just tasted like vanilla to us. We do think this might be a skip since it’s just a basic milkshake.

Gingerbread Milkshake

Or, there’s the Peppermint Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich is $7.49. This is peppermint ice cream sandwiched between two oatmeal-peppermint chip cookies and rolled in candy cane pieces. The sandwich is delicious and the peppermint ice cream is a very peppermint flavor, but not artificially tasting. We appreciate the cookies with this as well as we felt they were unique and elevated this sweet treat. This is definitely a shareable treat — it’s HUGE!
