How do you travel to Disney World?

Most of us likely travel by car or plane, but since the Brightline Orlando station opened up, traveling by train is now an option for some too! Since it first began its service between Orlando and Miami, Brightline has been a pretty big hit. And now, they’re celebrating with a ton of new perks!
The Orlando Business Journal reports that Brightline has given more than 2.6 million rides since it launched its Orlando-to-Miami route last year, based on data released this week. Since ridership has been so strong and is only growing, Brightline is offering some new perks!

First, Brightline will be expanding its fleet of eight train sets with 30 new coaches over the next year, including 20 Smart class cars and 10 premium cars. Five of the new coaches will begin service this fall. These new cars are expected to increase capacity on current routes.

Not only that, but Brightline will be starting a loyalty program for frequent riders in the first half of 2025. And, it also plans to start a program that allows riders to order food, drinks, and more from their seats via a website. Now that sounds like a perk to us!
Brightline currently has a goal of 400,000 passengers per month for now and a future goal of 650,000 passengers per month — which is 8 million per year — by 2026.

While there is no direct Brightline route to Disney World since the Disney Springs station was canceled, the station at the Orlando International Airport is pretty convenient to get to from the parks and hotels!
Brightline does have future expansions planned including a Cocoa Beach route, and we’re hopeful that one day maybe there will end up being a station closer to Disney World.
