REVIEW: A Magical Bar Exists in Disney World — Come Try It With Us!

Recently, Sage and Emma headed to the BoardWalk Inn to dine at AbracadaBar.

AbracadaBar

AbracadaBar is located on the BoardWalk between Flying Fish and Trattoria al Forno. This magic-themed bar serves specialty cocktails, drinks, and light bites. It is full of hidden details, making it a popular spot to spend the evening. If you are looking to grab a drink here, it is open between 4 PM and midnight each day.

When you enter, you can seat yourself and choose from a booth, bar, and high-top seating. Depending on the season and time of day, it can be easy to find a table here, but during the busy season, you may have to wait to snag a spot. When Sage and Emma went, they were able to snag a spot with no problem.

When it came time to order, both of them decided to order the specialty cocktails. Emma went for the Seashore Sweet, which has Absolut Citron Vodka, Minute Maid Lemonade, and Cotton Candy Syrup. It can also be made as a mocktail without alcohol. Essentially, it is just cotton candy lemonade.

Sage ordered the Black Manhattan, which has Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Amara Averna, and Orange Bitters. This drink is a combination of a Manhattan and an Old Fashion, and it is less sweet. There is also the Magic Hattan, which is basically just a Manhattan. Although they did not order this drink, it has Hudson Manhattan Rye Whiskey, Antica Carpano, and Angostura Bitters.

When Emma tried the Seashore Sweet, she immediately puckered her lips—and said that the drink was so sweet that it was actually too sweet for her. She also noted that it was intense, even though cotton candy is one of her favorite flavors in the world. She also said that this would be a fun drink for kids since it can be made without alcohol into a mocktail. But if you want to feel the sugar on your teeth, this is a great option. If you are looking for more of a sweet taste in a drink like a margarita, she says to skip this one and order something else.

Right off the bat, when Sage tried his drink, he said it was interesting and wished he had read the ingredients better—one of his least favorite parts about Manhattan’s are too much bitters. He said that a little bit of bitterness is okay to balance it out, but because there are two bitters, it was a little too much for him. Regardless, he could tell that this drink was like described, a mix between an Old Fashion and Manhattan. Overall, he said it was a solid cocktail, but next time, he would order the Magic Hattan

There are so many fun spots to grab a bite to eat or a drink on the BoardWalk and all in all Sage and Emma enjoyed their time at AbracadaBar!

Cheers!
