Universal Orlando has made some MAJOR announcements recently.
Epic Universe will be opening in 2025 with five new lands — How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, Celestial Park, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. On July 31st, Harry Potter’s birthday, Universal dropped some magical details about the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter land, and we’re here today to decode the concept art to find clues about what’s coming!
Let’s start with what we know will be opening in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. There will be a new ride in the Ministry of Magic — Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. There will be a new stage show — Le Cirque Aracaus. You’ll be able to use your wand to create magic around the land just like at the other two Harry Potter lands. There will be three new restaurants and a Butterbeer cart! And of course, there will be a few shops to explore for new souvenirs.
But let’s check out the concept art for these attractions, shall we? We’ll start by looking at the new art for the Ministry of Magic where the new ride will be. Universal has said you’ll get to the Ministry of Magic via the Floo Network. The Ministry will be set in the 1990s, around the time the books take place.
In the concept art for the Ministry of Magic, you can see the “fireplaces” on the sides where you’ll likely come swooping in using the Floo Network. Imagine traveling with floo powder; it is going to be awesome! Next, we notice that there are people in the art. This is a big clue that indicates that the Ministry will be full-sized and we may be able to wander around and look at everything in this area. We’ll actually get to step foot into the real Ministry of Magic! Finally, there is the giant hanging poster of Delores Umbridge awaiting her trial. This brings us to the plot of the ride.
The concept art for the ride shows the ride vehicle that reminds us a lot of Disney’s Tower of Terror. However, we know from Universal that this ride does more than just drop. We’ll be propelled up, down, forward, backward, and more. So we wonder if it will be similar to Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios.
There are also ghosts, wizards, and Death Eaters in the art. It certainly looks like it’s going to be action packed! A battle at the ministry makes us think of the battle in The Order of the Phoenix. Hopefully, there’s a happier ending to this battle though.
Ok, let’s talk about the new show that’s coming to the land. Le Cirque Arcaus is the first-ever live theater show in any of the Harry Potter lands! And the concept art looks amazing.
In the art, there is a sign on the screen that is in French (this show takes place in the 1920s Paris setting of the land), but clearly has a Golden Snitch on it. Then there is someone flying above the stage on a broom. We know there will be aerialists in the show, so could we see some quidditch playing and broom flying?! Since this is set in the 1920s and because it’s clearly in The Wizarding World, we bet this is going to be a cool magic show with tons of special effects and magical creatures.
Next, let’s check out the streets of Paris. This concept art reminds us a lot of roaming around Diagon Alley. There is outdoor seating at the restaurant, the tent for the show, lots of other things to see and do. One things for sure, though, we’ll need to brush up on our French!
Le Gobelet Noir is a dark and shadowy restaurant in the shadows of Paris. Here dark witches and wizards meet, but we’ll certainly be joining them. We certainly get Knockturn Alley vibes here. It looks like this area of the park will be desolate apart from the restaurant. We can’t wait to see what foods they’ll be serving up!
Last, let’s check out Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. This shop will sell wands, but based on the concept art, we’ll find more than just wants here. Fancy, exotic pieces like giant gemstones, quils, and more line the counters. We don’t know if these will be display only or items you can buy, but they certainly look cool!
There’s going to be so much to experience at this new Harry Potter land. We cannot wait to explore it all! Our Harry Potter-loving hearts don’t know if they’ll be able to wait until 2025 to visit this new park.
For now, we’ll just keep watching for more details to be released by Universal. Stay tuned for more from AllEars!

The ride vehicle on The Ministry Of Magic ride is basically Spiderman’s with the same lift system as Star Tours added to it.
Also, the show is called “Le Cirque Arcanus”.
