runDisney Reveals Themes for 2025 Springtime Surprise Events

Disney World is not just limited to rides, fast food, characters, and entertainment. It’s so much more than that!

You can drive a boat, do archery, get up on stage, go surfing, dine at a Michelin-star restaurant, and so much more. Runners can also participate in several runDisney races throughout the year giving them a unique experience of the parks. The 2025 Springtime Surprise Weekend will be here before we know it and now we have themes for each race!

runDisney’s next Springtime Surprise Weekend is happening from April 3rd-5th, 2025 and there’s a lot to be excited about. That’s because this year’s theme is heroes!

While we’ll have to wait a bit longer to know what the finisher medals look like, we know that the 5K will be hosted by Groot and the other Guardians of the Galaxy!

Next up is the 10K which features the guy who puts the “glad” in gladiator! Yes, it’s Hercules!

Those doing the 10-miler race can expect everything Incredibles-themed! We love this art featuring Elastigirl but Disney says you’ll be running alongside Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible, AND Frozone.

Finally, if you are doing ALL of these events, you will officially complete the Springtime Surprise Challenge. That’s 19.3 miles, people! You’ll receive all three medals for the races above and then an additional fourth medal themed to Big Hero 6.
