Mark your calendars, because Disney Cruise Line announced that we’ll be getting more details about the Disney Destiny on July 30th, 31st, and August 1st!

Yep, that’s right — three days full of announcements! Disney said that we’ll learn more about “new spaces, experiences, and more” coming to the ship. We’ve already got some clues about what might be in store, but we just learned a whole lot more!
The Disney Destiny will have a “heroes and villains” theme with many different iconic characters that we know and love. The teaser video shows Hercules, Scar, Black Panther, and Cruella de Vil as some of the characters that will be featured, but thanks to a recent package we got in the mail — we have even more clues!

Inside the package, we were greeted with a duffel bag, several patches with different characters, and a custom comic book featuring Quincy as a comic book character on a “Path to Destiny!” How cool is that?! Peep the characters on the front for a potential hint about what’s to come.

There was also a pamphlet inside instructing us to use the patches to create our own adventure as we await more details on the Disney Destiny! So, what sort of patches did we get? We’re so glad you asked!

We’re putting our detective hats on, because we think these patches are clues as to what we might see on the Destiny! Of course, there’s Super Hero Minnie, but we’ve spotted some other familiar heroes like Groot, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange!
It looks like Pain and Panic from Hercules could be involved somehow, along with Cruella de Vil — definitely villains! Olaf seems to be unbothered lounging on his beach chair, and we may get some sort of Pirates of the Caribbean element on the ship based on that Jolly Roger.

According to Disney, Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” Look out for both heroes and villains onboard the ship, including characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Disney teased new spaces, experiences, and entertainment on the ship inspired by the heroes and villains of those popular Disney films.
Minnie Mouse “embodies the spirit of the Disney Destiny” and will be featured in the filigree artwork for the bow of the ship. You can learn more about the Destiny in this teaser video from Disney:
And, according to theme park reporter Scott Gustin, the Destiny will set sail in December 2025 with bookings opening for the new ship on August 9th. Luckily, we’ll know the details of this incredible new ship by then so you can decide if a voyage on the new Disney Destiny is right for you! Speaking of planning a trip…
