BREAKING: Haunted Mansion Holiday CONFIRMED, Disney Reveals NEW Virtual Queue Details

Our FAVORITE holiday season is fast approaching! Before you know it, we’ll be trading out those Fourth of July banners for pumpkin decorations.

Mickey Pumpkin season is almost here!

That’s right — we’re talking about the Halloween season at Disney World and Disneyland Resort! And now, Disney just dropped some BIG news about what to expect this year.

One of the most popular parts of the Halloween season — especially at Disneyland — is the special ride overlay at the Haunted Mansion ride. This isn’t just any old ride change. It’s a total The Nightmare Before Christmas takeover, complete with familiar characters like Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie!

So far, we know that Oogie Boogie Bash is returning for the 2024 Halloween season, and tickets go on sale SOON. In fact, Disney just shared new details about when you can buy Oogie Boogie Bash tickets. Be prepared — this event tends to sell out QUICKLY.

But in the meantime, we can start looking forward to the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday! Disney just confirmed that this exclusive ride makeover will return this year — YAY!

Santa Jack, aka Sandy Claws!

OK, now, listen up. This is important. Disney shared that when the ride reopens, the Haunted Mansion Holiday ride will ONLY  be available via virtual queue. That’s because Imagineers are currently working on a reimagined queue experience! You can see the construction walls below.

The queue is under construction!

This means that in order to ride the attraction, you will need to use the Disneyland app to secure a virtual spot in line. We see this process used a LOT over in Disney World — you can join a virtual queue to ride things like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Based on what Disney revealed, it seems like the virtual queue will only be used while the queue is under construction. We have a feeling that things will go back to normal when the updated queue is ready. Stay tuned for more details!
