We love Disney World. We love being in the Sunshine State. We even love a nice summer day in the theme parks. There’s just one thing we don’t love: the heat.

Disney’s Living with the Land attraction once referred to it as the “scorching rays of the relentless sun,” and we can’t think of a better way to describe that feeling of the sunlight on your body in the middle of an EPCOT park visit. It’s BRUTAL.
But did you know that your body isn’t the only one suffering under the hot Florida sun? Turns out your phone can take a serious beating in the heat, too! But your phone is pretty essential in Disney World, so what’s the solution?

We bought and tested the Black Shark Phone Cooler on Amazon to see if it could save our phone from overheating in the middle of a HOT and busy day in Disney World. According to the description on Amazon, this product claims to use a five-bladed ultra-high speed cooling fan to keep your cell phone at the optimal temperature.

OK, so how did it do? Well, for starters, this is a great size, and attached to our phone pretty easily. It’s no bulkier than a MagSafe charger, and it felt pretty lightweight.

This little fan did its job! We haven’t had it for long, but so far, it seems to be in good working order, and we didn’t run into any problems during our test run in the parks. In the middle of summer, when your phone starts overheating as you’re trying to take a photo or check the wait times, you need something that can rescue your phone!

We’ll be the first to admit that in the past, we’ve had to resort to using an ice-cold water bottle to cool our phone, so this might make things a little easier going forward!

The fan isn’t super loud, either, so you don’t have to worry about blowing up a storm in the middle of a restaurant or ride queue. All in all, this is surprisingly low-profile phone accessory that serves an important purpose.

If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, we recommend buying one of these phone coolers on Amazon! It’s easy to clip to your phone and fits 2.71–3.34-inch phones with flexible retractable clamps.
In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney essentials, so stay tuned for more.
