WARNING: This New Disney World Ride Problem Could Ruin Your Trip

We love Disney World rides, don’t we? (I’m looking at you!)

Seriously, from unique rides to OG classics, there are no other rides like the ones at Disney World. One of the best additions to these rides has been those ride photos we get that commemorate our adventures. To that point, there’s a bug in the gears at Disney World that, when thinking of those ride photos, could leave your trip missing some magical memories! We’ve got to talk about it!

The culprit? Well, here’s what’s been happening: Ride photos aren’t automatically connecting to your My Disney Experience app as they should. This means those epic shots of you on Space Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean might not be waiting for you in the app!

Take it from us as multiple members of our team have encountered this issue where their ride photos fail to automatically link to their accounts, even though they are wearing their MagicBands and have Bluetooth enabled on their phones.

Also, this problem doesn’t appear to be isolated to only one or two rides, as others have also experienced similar frustrations. So what can you do?

Here are the steps we follow:

Check the app after each ride. (Don’t wait until the end of the day to find out that photos are missing.)
Head to a PhotoPass desk. (Cast Members are there to help! They can search for your photos based on the ride and approximate ride time.)
Remember the timeframe. (The more specific you can be about the ride time, the easier it will be to find your photos.)

The (unexpectedly) good news? You can still get your photos even days or weeks later!

So, make sure you don’t let this technical hiccup put a damper on your Disney World experience. Follow those steps and you’ll be sure to keep those memories preserved!
