The 1 RULE You Need to Know Before the 2024 D23 Expo

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been getting a lot of details about this year’s D23 Expo, which has been renamed to D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

This year’s event, which takes place on August 9th through 11th, could be the biggest yet. We’ve already gotten a look at the schedule, and tickets are already selling like hotcakes. Although much of the event takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center, the evening panels will be happening at The Honda Center. But that venue has different rules about what you can bring into it, so we’re going to straighten you out.

For events at The Anaheim Convention Center, you are allowed to bring bags into the event, but they are subject to security and screening checks. However, the event has the right not to allow specific items in if deemed necessary.

However, things are a little different at The Honda Center, which has a strict “no bag” policy. The maximum size bag allowed at the Honda Center is 5″ x 9″ x 2″ (this is also the policy for clear bags). If you need to carry a medical or diaper bag, they must be 12″ x 12″ x 12″ or smaller. Backpacks, including Loungeflys are not allowed in the building at all.

Another thing you should note is that Honda Center does not offer a bag check. So if you’re going from the convention center to Honda Center and have bags, you’ll have to figure out where to store them. If driving, you can always keep your bags in your car, but if you’re going directly from one venue to another, you may find a bag check at the convention center or you may want to just leave your bags at your hotel.
