As an entertainment and media juggernaut, Disney is no stranger to lawsuits.

Recently, we’ve seen the Company in the headlines for waterslide injury lawsuits, a wrongful death lawsuit, and even labor violation lawsuits. Further, Disneyland was recently sued by Disneyland Magic Key holders. The $9.5 million class action lawsuit alleged that Disneyland “misled and deceived those who purchased the Dream Key pass by limiting capacity and restricting reservations to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure”, despite the fact that the pass promised “no blockout dates.” Disney agreed to settle, and the lawsuit was just finalized by a judge. Here’s what that means for YOU.
According to the Orange County Register, a U.S. District Court Judge overseeing the case just settled the lawsuit on March 4th.

The Judge ruled that 103,431 Disneyland Dream Key Holders will get approximately $67 each. So, what does that mean if YOU are a Dream Key Holder?

Well, you’ll receive a notice from a settlement administrator via email or standard mail. They’ll then pay out the cash award.

You won’t need to submit a claim, you’ll be contacted automatically if you are subject to receive compensation. You’ll get an email to the account associated with your Disneyland Magic Key pass.

Those who don’t have an email on file or have an email address that can’t be reached will receive a check by mail. If you need to update your mailing address, though, you’ll have to do so via a website.
