And if you’re packing for a week-long trip, it might seem like a daunting task, especially if you’re limited on luggage space — limited to only one bag! We know that it can get PRICEY to bring bags, especially if you are flying a budget airline. Sometimes, you literally can just take a backpack or a small rolling bag — we get it! Don’t worry, we’re here for you. Let’s go over how you can streamline your packing process and make sure your bag will be filled with everything you need!
Today, we’ve got some great packing tips for you to go over, so let’s dive right in. Fry Bucket travels to Disney World 12 times a year and has shared her best tips!!
First, do you have Amazon Prime? If you don’t already have it, you can click the link below to sign up for a FREE trial and potentially save some coin in the process.
1. Prioritize Necessities
Let’s start by being real about what you actually need. Lay out everything you think you need and then, with a touch of tough love, ask yourself, “Do I really need this?”

You’ll be amazed at how much fluff you can leave behind when you focus on the essentials.
2. Embrace a Simple Park Style
One of the best things to do is to opt for a simple park style that allows for easy mix-and-match. Think simple graphic tees paired with bottoms like blue jean shorts, athletic shorts, or yoga pants.

This not only keeps your wardrobe uncomplicated but then you can re-wear bottom pieces throughout your trip.
3. Streamline Your Toiletries
If you really want to try to pack light, you could consider buying some toiletries at Disney to save space and weight. Sure, it might cost a tad more, but the convenience could be worth it.

Also, certain items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and mouthwash can be left at home since Disney provides them in their accommodations.
4. Harness the Power of Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a lifesaver and a suitcase-saver. They’re the unsung heroes of the luggage world.

They help organize your belongings efficiently, making it easy to locate items without unpacking your entire bag. Categorize your clothes, accessories, and essentials into packing cubes to maximize space and keep things neat.

Here are some tips for packing your clothes. First up is the “Military-Style Roll” which is like a next-level roll.

The “Clown-Car Style” is all about stacking and then folding and tucking.

If you’re a fan of the classic fold but want to see everything in your suitcase, try the front-to-back style.

5. Utilize Disney Laundry
Here’s a tip: Take advantage of Disney’s laundry services to reduce the number of clothes you need to pack.

Washing and re-wearing items during your stay is not only convenient but also ensures you always have fresh clothing without overpacking.
6. Minimize Footwear
Shoe lovers, you might not want to hear this — limit yourself to just two pairs, or better yet, just pack one pair of comfy tennis shoes.

Wear those babies throughout the trip. Your feet will thank you, and your suitcase will be light as a feather.
7. The One Backpack To Rule Them All
It’s got room for everything you need in the parks, a nice water bottle pocket for water bottles bigger than the small Corkcicles.
That’s all we’ve got for you. The big points are to opt for items that can be used multiple times, bringing only two pairs of Minnie Ears that work with everything, one pair of versatile shoes, a light jacket — you get the idea.
