Have you ever been to a Disney on Ice performance?
They’re full of your favorite stories and characters. From Mickey and Friends to the cast of Frozen, you can enjoy all your favorite Disney moments in your hometown and perform amazing ice skating. These shows feature some elite tricks on ice, but recently, one Disney on Ice performer was involved in a serious accident.
Disney on Ice: Magic in the Stars had scheduled performances at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN for February 9th through the 11th. The show featured a full list of characters, including the cast of Beauty and the Beast.
During the show, the skater portraying Belle became injured while in a lift. According to CBS News, the skater was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment, where she was in critical condition.
No updates have been given at this time, but the company shared, “Disney On Ice appreciates the well wishes from our fans as our team member recovers.” The scheduled shows will continue as planned. We’ll be sure to update you if more information is given.
UPDATE: As of February 12th, the skater’s condition has improved from critical to serious.
