The 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Unveiled a NEW Disney Float ?

Does your house smell like warm turkey? Did you tune in to the National Dog Show? Did you catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Well, we sure did, and we’re here to recap some of of FAVORITE parade floats and balloons.

Happy Thanksgiving! We are SO very thankful for all our readers. Now, who’s ready to talk about some of the FUN and festive 2023 Thanksgiving Day Parade floats? Let’s go!

Let’s start with a little throwback, for nostalgia’s sake. Check out the 48th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (1974), where Mickey Mouse appeared for his fourth time in New York City in a classic red and yellow outfit. Looking good, Mickey!

OK, back to the present day. The parade kicked off with an appearance by Tom Turkey! He’s looking dapper for the occasion.

We also spotted Bluey playing a game of Keepy Uppy with a red balloon. We love that game!

Of course, everyone’s favorite little Star Wars character, Grogu, also made an appearance this year. There he is, making his way down the streets of New York City.

We had to give a special shoutout to Spongebob, too. Love the hat!

Now, let’s talk about the newest Disney parade float, inspired by the NEW Disney Cruise Line ship, the Treasure! Characters like Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Pluto, Anna, Elsa, and Tiana all arrived to celebrate.

The float even paused for a fun little dance routine. Captain Minnie was a STAR!

Throughout the performance, we spotted the Black Panther, Mirabel, Spider-Man, the Genie, and Miguel from Coco! We have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of those characters on the new Treasure ship. From new dining experiences to a Haunted Mansion BAR, the Treasure is introducing all kinds of new adventurous offerings. 

We don’t know about you, but we ADORE the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s a classic! And when we get to see a new Disney parade float, that just makes our day even better. Happy Thanksgiving, all! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
