So what happens if you paid for a ticket and you ended up not being able to go? Let’s find out.

The past week or so has been awful for rain in Disney World. There have been downpours for several days as people try to enjoy their vacations. While Disney can’t control the weather (unfortunately), they still try to make your experience better during these circumstances.

A Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom!

If you had tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and then the event got rained out, you may want to check your My Disney Experience app! Readers have told us that “rain checks” have been making an appearance in  their apps if they weren’t able to go to the party, even if they didn’t talk to Guest Relations.

  1. Yes..a rained-out event because of Hurricane Ian…even though it began on a Tuesday night..we were caught behind the castle when the fireworks went off unexpectedly around 9 pm…thereafter…everything was shut down. Disney did offer an extra day ticket as compensation but being annual pass holders we declined the offer and were rewarded with a discount on our future annual pass later in the month.
