ALERT! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Gingerbread House is Now OPEN!

The holiday season has arrived in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom is looking very merry with its massive Christmas tree and wreaths down Main Street, U.S.A., Disney’s Animal Kingdom is decked out in lanterns and fun decor, and the iconic stars have gone up on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But outside of the parks, there are some impressive holiday displays you won’t want to miss! The giant gingerbread house in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has officially opened — come check it out!

The gingerbread house started taking shape in the Grand Floridian lobby at the end of last month, and it’s finally open! This display has over 10,000 (!!) pieces of gingerbread, an 85-pound chocolate Santa, and tons of fun decor like white chocolate candy canes, edible snowflakes, and more.

Today, it officially opened, selling everything from Gingerbread Mickeys and Shingles, Stollen Bread, and Gingersnap Cookies to House-made Gingerbread Ornaments and Gingerbread Houses.

When we got up to the counter, they had the treats on display so that you could see what you were buying. There are a LOT of options this year!

You can even buy a mini version of the gingerbread house! How cute is this?

Be warned that if you visit the gingerbread house this season, you might have to wait in line. There were quite a few people in the queue during our visit. But it was definitely worth it for gingerbread treats!
