NEW Show Announced for Disney+ Following Multiple Series Cancelations

After canceling some of our favorite new series and raising the price, the least Disney+ can do is bring us some new content.

We might be bitter, but our hearts are full of nostalgia because a remake has officially been announced and we’ve got all the details.

This is NOT a drill — a live-action remake of the iconic Disney television series, Gargoyles, is in the works at Disney+ according to The Hollywood Reporter! Two major names in horror films have signed on for the remake, Gary Daubermann and James Wan’s Atomic Monster.

Dauberman will be the showrunner and will also write and executive produce the series, while Wan’s Atomic Monster has signed on to executive produce. The series is reportedly in early development at Disney Branded Television.

The original Gargoyles series ran from 1994 to 1997 and followed gargoyle statues after being moved from Scotland to New York. Then, the statues are awoken from a spell and become protectors of the city.
