As the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike continues, the television and film industry continues to be drastically affected.

In July, The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) joined WGA on the picket line, and many folks fear that this could cause major damage to the industry. Not only does this affect production workers’ paychecks, but it also affects box office revenue as major films and TV shows are delayed further and further.
Included in those major delays are numerous Disney films and TV shows. Take a look through the list of things that have been delayed as a result of the strikes, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Movies
- Captain America: Brave New World has been delayed to July 26th, 2024
- Thunderbolts has been delayed from July 26th to December 20th, 2024
- Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, have been pushed back a year, to May 2026 and May 2027, respectively.
- Deadpool 3 — is among the very few movies to advance its premiere date, from November 8th, 2024, to May 3rd.
- Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been indefinitely delayed from March 2024

- Kraven the Hunter has been delayed from October 2023 to August 2024
- Venom 3 moves up from October 2024 to July 2024
- Lilo and Stitch has been delayed indefinitely
- Moana has been delayed until June 2025
- Avatar 3, 4, and 5 have been delayed to December 2025, December 2029, and December 2031, respectively
TV Shows
- Euphoria, The Last of Us, House of Dragon, Hacks, and White Lotus have each been pushed back to 2025 and beyond or removed from the release calendar altogether
- Game of Thrones spinoff A Knight of Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is now undated
- The Batman spinoff The Penguin is now undated

- Emily in Paris is postponed indefinitely
- Stranger Things is postponed indefinitely
- Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man might not be a thing anymore… No one knows.
