The sold-out Destination D23 event is happening soon — it’s basically like the Super Bowl for Disney fans.
Destination D23, known as the “Biggest Disney Fan Event of the Year,” is set to happen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from September 8th through September 10th. Throughout that weekend, we’re predicting heavy crowds and lots of breaking news. But if you didn’t manage to get tickets to this insanely popular event, fear not!
Disney must know that we feel some serious FOMO during its Destination D23 event; there will be a special way for you to see what’s happening LIVE from the comfort of your home!
Disney shared a full schedule of events, and based on what we know, it looks like September 9th will be the day for all things Disney Parks-related. Could we learn more about the EPCOT expansion project (perhaps a Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana opening date)? Maybe get some Tiana’s Bayou Adventure news? We can’t wait to find out!
We also know that Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro will visit the event. In the past, he’s shared some BIG Disney news — who knows what he’ll say this year!
Clearly, September 9th is going to be a BIG day, and you can tune in from home to watch it all go down in real time. Disney will host a livestream of the event exclusively on September 9th. To watch the livestream, you can go to the Disney D23 YouTube channel or Facebook page (@DisneyD23), or visit the website D23.com/DestinationD23.
Note that Disney’s livestream will happen for one day only. Last year, Disney released a full schedule for its livestream, but this year, you’ve only got one day to tune in. If you were hoping to catch the September 10th announcements via livestream, you may be out of luck.
