You Have to Get Lucky To Get This Tower of Terror Experience

There are some Disney World experiences you just can’t plan ahead of time. Disney Cast Members are experts at pop-up events and surprises!

From unexpected character meet-and-greets to secret photo-ops, you never know what you may find in the parks! As we were strolling down Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed some Cast Members rolling a luggage cart down the street. What could THAT mean?

There’s only ONE hotel in Disney World that can get away with cobwebs in the lobby and faulty elevator service: The Hollywood Tower Hotel, also known as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction.

Welcome to the Hollywood Tower Hotel

Despite the fact that the Hollywood Tower Hotel doesn’t have many hotel guests these days (ever since, you know, the lightning incident), you can still find plenty of hotel staff members lurking around the area. In fact, we’ve seen them on Sunset Boulevard from time to time — luggage cart in tow!

It’s a rare experience!

Turns out that Disney World Cast Members periodically bring out the luggage cart as a pop-up photo op! After speaking with a Cast Member, we learned that Tower of Terror Cast Members randomly decide to bring the cart out (staff permitting) for brief periods of time throughout the day.

How fun!

While there’s no set time that this photo-op appears, we were informed that you’re more likely to see it happen earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. Next time you’re in the area, look out for some friendly Tower of Terror Cast Members; you never know what you might encounter!
