Attention, attention! To all our athletically-inclined readers, we’ve got some big news. Lately, Disney has been sharing lots of announcements about the 2024 calendar year — in fact, new bookings just opened up for Disney World vacations next year.
Now, we’ve got an important update on an upcoming runDisney race event! It’s time to lace up your sneakers; we’ve got the scoop on the 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.
Disney has confirmed that the highly popular Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is returning in 2024. In addition to sharing some key dates, we also got a peek at the new themes!
In 2024, Anna and Elsa will serve as the mascots for the Disney Fairytale Challenge! Runners that complete all the races throughout the runDisney weekend will earn a special Queen-inspired medal.
Look out for Rapunzel at the Disney Princess 10K — though we recommend tying up your hair for this race! We don’t think those gorgeous flowing locks of hair would fare well during a 10K.
Finally, put your human legs to good use with Ariel at the Disney Princess 5K. We just know that Ariel would love to have a shiny 5K medal to add to her collection of thingamabobs!
The event will take place from February 22nd through February 26th, 2024. Mark your calendars now — these events are popular!
Event registration will open up for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum members on June 13th, 2023. Then, general registration will open on June 20th, 2023 at 10AM ET. Runners can also participate in the Virtual Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, with registration opening on June 23rd, 2023 at 10AM ET.
These events tend to sell out VERY quickly, so be sure to log on bright and early to secure your spot. Luckily, we’ve got plenty of time to get in shape! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
