Why Disney Fans Need to Mark August 20th in Their Calendars

There are lots of important Disney dates to keep in mind, but now you’ll need to add some more to your calendar.

You might already know just when Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will begin, the start date for After Hours events at EPCOT, or when the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will return. But do you know about a returning week all about the Disney princesses?

Grab those calendars and mark down August 20th through the 26th! Why? Because that is World Princess Week! We saw this special week celebrated in both 2021 and 2022 and now it’s confirmed to return in 2023.

Thus far, Disney has announced that during World Princess Week in 2023, they’ll be hosting one of their BIGGEST wish-granting events ever with something called the Once Upon a Wish Party. It’s a special event just for Make-A-Wish families that’ll include tea, treats, characters, and more during a royal ball. This will be a first-of-its-kind wish event in Disney World.

What else will World Princess Week involve? Disney hasn’t shared details yet but more information is set to be released soon.

In 2022, specialty treats, merchandise, and photo ops arrived at the parks as part of the celebration for a limited time. We saw a whole bunch of sweets released in Disney World and Disneyland, a Brandy music video filmed at Disneyland, and craft project ideas. There were also movies offered under the stars at the Disney World hotels, special entertainment at Disney Springs, and more.

In 2021, World Princess Week brought us new collectibles, playground fun, and more.
