Disney World Annual Passes are BACK on sale, but a lot of people have had a hard time getting one.

When passes went back on sale this morning, April 20th, lots of people experienced technical issues as Disney’s website struggled to deal with the overwhelming demand. There is still an hours-long online queue to purchase the passes, so Disney has announced that sales will be paused overnight so that people don’t have to stay up all night in order to be ready when their turn to buy a pass arrives.
Disney’s Annual Pass website had been updated with the following notice:
“We thank you and all our fans for the incredible enthusiasm for the Passholder program. Pass sales will pause at 11 PM Eastern Time. Guests will remain in the queue overnight, as long as they remain connected to the network and keep their browser window open. Pass sales will resume no earlier than 7:15 AM Eastern Time tomorrow.”

Disney also noted that all four pass types are still available for purchase. Despite an earlier warning that the passes could sell out today, it appears that none have sold out so far.

If you’re still in the virtual queue to purchase an Annual Pass, do not close your browser window tonight. Your spot in the queue should be saved. Be ready at 7:15AM EST tomorrow (April 21st) to keep an eye on the window once again so that you’re ready when it’s your turn to buy a pass. When your turn arrives, you will only have 10 minutes to purchase a pass.

We’ll continue to watch for more updates on the Annual Pass sale, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest news.
