Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney World Is Having a ROUGH Week

Things happen in Disney World, and they’re not always under our control.

Rides go down due to refurbishment, rides have animatronics problems, and weather can close rides. But one particular ride in Disney World seems to have been down a LOT this week, and well, it’s down again today.

We were wandering through Adventureland on March 26th in Magic Kingdom and walked by Pirates of the Caribbean. We noticed that people were leaving the queue because the ride was being closed down.

The ride did reopen shortly after that, but here’s the thing — Pirates has been down A LOT recently. We get it — it happens, but it seems like Pirates has struggled more than several other rides recently.

So what should you do if a ride you’re waiting for gets closed? Well, first, listen to Cast Members and follow their directions. If you’re being evacuated from the ride, pay attention to what they say. If you’re in line and told to get out of the line, be sure to do as they say.

You can go get in line for another ride so you don’t lose any valuable time. To keep an eye on when the closed ride reopens, though, be sure to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app — if you catch it right when it reopens, you could very well manage to get close to the front of the line.

We’ll also keep an eye out for closed rides, and try to keep you updated, so be sure to check back with AllEars often.
