I Just Went to Disneyland for the FIRST Time — Here Are My Top 7 Snacks

I’ve been going to Disney World my entire life but when I went to Disneyland for the first time, I was SHOCKED by how good the food was.

Pym Test Kitchen and Pym Tasting Lab

I recently took my first ever trip to Disneyland and ate a lot. In fact, I tried almost 20 different restaurants over the course of the trip! A lot of the food across the two parks really blew me away but here are the best 7 snacks that I tried!

You can see reviews of everything I ate in the Disneyland videos on AllEars YouTube but some of the best eats came during our Perfect Day in Disneyland which you can watch right here!

But lets talk about the best of the best…in no particular order.

Pepperoni Pizza Dip

Found at the Disneyland Park snack cart to the left facing Sleeping Beauty Castle is the surprising Pepperoni Pizza Dip. This one really threw me for a loop because Disney World snack carts typically have more standard fare like  Mickey Pretzels and popcorn.

Pepperoni Pizza Dip

This cheesy, saucy dip was what dreams are made of. It was the perfect consistency. Plus, on a cooler winter’s day it was warm and cozy. Add in high quality pieces of bread for dipping and I had to stop myself from going back for another.

Chili Lime Corn

At the same snack cart right by Sleeping Beauty Castle, you can find Chili Lime Corn on the Cob. I love corn on the cob and often call it one of my favorite options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Disney World.

This corn was next level! The chili lime seasoning was the perfect mix of spicy and fruity (without being overwhelming with either flavor).

Breakfast Sha-warm-up

Over in Disney California Adventure, the newest land had some awesome option when it comes to food. Though the Shawarma Palace cart might look underwhelming, it has a stellar breakfast option.

Breakfast Shawarma

Introducing the Impossible Breakfast Sha-warm-up, a plant-based breakfast sausage and egg omelet wrap with dairy-free American cheese and crispy potato bites, served with spiced maple syrup. I’m not vegan but this was an amazing breakfast! I wouldn’t have been able to tell you it was plant-based!

Hand-dipped Ice Cream Bar

I’m not exaggerating, my jaw dropped when I realized you can make customizable Hand-dipped Ice Cream Bars at Clarabelle’s Hand-scooped Ice Cream.

Hand-dipped Ice Cream Bar

I went with a vanilla bar with dark chocolate coating and blue raspberry bursts (AKA pop rocks). It’s extremely high quality ice cream — creamy and cool — and made to order. What’s not to like? Just don’t be like me; remember to grab napkins and a spoon.

Mint Julep

Now, you might notice that some Disneyland classics like Churros, Mickey Beignets, and Hand-dipped Corn Dogs did not make my bests list. These were all amazing, but were actually beaten out by some lesser-known favorites.

Disneyland Mint Julep

One iconic flavor did make the list though with the Mint Julep! This famous non-alcoholic version of a classic New Orleans Mint Julep was so refreshing with the perfect balance of mint and lime.

Quantum Pretzel

Back in Avengers Campus is a snack that might be a little too big to call a snack. But you wouldn’t call a pretzel a meal would you? Pym Test Kitchen offers up the super-sized Quantum Pretzel.

Quantum Pretzel

This was hands down the best Disney pretzel I’ve ever had. Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, easy to pull apart, and perfectly warm. The best part? It came with fondue-level beer cheese.

Matterhorn Macaroon

Last but certainly not least is the Matterhorn Macaroon from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, modeled by the mighty and beloved Matterhorn Bobsleds rollercoaster nearby.

Matterhorn Macaroon

This macaroon was coconutty and sweet with the perfect cakey texture. I thought the icing on top was a little too sweet, but this was a delightful enough treat that I didn’t care too much!

And there you have it, some of my favorite eats from my first visit to Disneyland!
