Disney Star Tim Allen Comments on NEW ‘Toy Story’ Sequel

We know what you’re thinking…another Toy Story movie?!!

Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Toy Story 3 marked the end of Andy’s journey with the toys, so we were shocked when another one was announced after that. BUT THEN, Toy Story 4 marked the end of Woody’s journey with the toys. What else could possibly happen?! We aren’t sure, but since Disney announced another sequel was on the way, we can’t wait to find out.

Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, recently tweeted and let us know that he would be returning for Toy Story 5 — and he seemed pretty excited as well!

We’re excited to see Allen return as Buzz Lightyear, especially after the shock of Chris Evans voicing Buzz in Lightyear. We weren’t sure if Allen would return after that, but he seems pretty excited to return to the character he’s worked with for nearly 30 years.

We’re so excited to see where else the franchise could possibly take these toys, and we’re even more excited to have Allen back as the voice of Buzz. We’re on the lookout for more Toy Story news as well as any other Disney updates, so make sure to follow along for more!

  1. Yay! Another sequel. I don’t think I’m capable of understanding anything new. Thank goodness that Disney understands and is willing to give me the same thing repeatedly.

  2. Disney animated features have definitely struggled this past year. Buzz Lightyear was not the cash cow Disney thought it would be (and there are tons of Buzz Lightyear toys on the clearance racks now) and Strange World…wow…what a flop! Looks as if Disney will go back to a couple of their biggest franchises (Frozen and Toy Story) to try to right the ship.

Zootopia is a little surprising, but with a whole land dedicated to it being built in Shanghai Disney, maybe with a new film we can expect to see a Zootopia land in a U.S. park.
