It almost feels like yesterday that we saw the return of the World of Color nighttime spectacular.

This bright display is a wonderful way to end your day at Disneyland, lighting up Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure with some impressive lights. If you love this show, get ready, because Disney is doing something special for the 100th anniversary!
Disney has released more details on the new “World of Color — ONE” show that will premiere this month as part of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary. The show will focus on the journey the company has been on since its inception a century ago, and how a single action can change the world around us.

During the show guests will see highlights from beloved Disney films like The Lion King, Moana, Mulan, and countless others as they coordinate with the lights and music that will bring the show to life. Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars films will even get their chance to shine!

Characters and lights will be projected onto the water for a magical result. The show will feature mist screens, 1,200 dancing fountains, laser, fog, and flame effects, and a massive water screen that can span up to 380 feet across! Those with a MagicBand+ will get to have an enhanced experience with coordinating dancing lights and vibrations.

World of Color — ONE will include a musical score of 18 compositions. The original song “Start a Wave” featured in the show was written by GRAMMY®-nominated artist Cody Fry and sung by Loren Allred.
Like World of Color, this new production will be accessible through a virtual queue system on the Disneyland app. To access the virtual queue, you must have entered Disney California Adventure park for the day OR entered Disneyland park with a Park Hopper ticket. At noon, the queue will open for the day in the app. If there are multiple showtimes that night, the first showtime will fill up first before they open the queue for later times.

Once you receive a virtual queue time, head over to your designated viewing area for your showtime approximately 30-45 minutes before the show begins. There will be marked entrance points so you can find your way! If you’re unable to secure a virtual queue spot, you can check with a cast member at the Paradise Bay viewing area before a showtime begins for any walk-up viewing options. You don’t have to join a virtual queue, but it’s highly recommended to ensure you get a spot!
World of Color — ONE will premiere on January 27th, 2023. For more updates on this and other 100th anniversary celebrations, stay tuned to our site!
