Disney’s gearing up to celebrate yet another anniversary and this one is huge!

Recently, we’ve celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Disney World, the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, and soon, we’ll celebrate the 40th Anniversary of EPCOT. But Disney’s about to celebrate their biggest milestone yet — 100 years! Take a look at everything you can look forward to during this celebration.
Disney’s given us a ton of information about the 100th Anniversary celebration, which will be called Disney 100 Years of Wonder! While there are still some surprises and announcements to come, here’s what we know about the celebration so far.
The celebration will kick off during this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC, before beginning in Disneyland on January 27th, 2023. After that, we expect to see the platinum festivities appear in the parks. Disney’s already revealed special merchandise like the Mickey Platinum Drip Minnie Ears…

…the 100th Anniversary Mickey Ear Hat…

…as well as some other celebratory items.

And, speaking of the parks, there will be a lot of anniversary-inspired offerings around Disneyland Resort, as it’s the “heart of the celebration. The resort will welcome back its Magic Happens Parade, as well as the debut of two new nighttime spectaculars.

There will be a new fireworks show, Wondrous Journeys, which will “feature nods to all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date.” The other nighttime spectacular is “World of Color — One.”

Over at Disney World, EPCOT will receive a new nighttime show in late 2023!

Hong Kong Disneyland will also join in on the festivities, by adding a new statue of Walt Disney and Mickey to the park!

While ToonTown won’t open until spring 2023, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open on January 27th, 2023.

You can also celebrate Disney 100 Years of Wonder in the theaters, thanks to the upcoming film, Wish. The movie is inspired by the anniversary and follows a young girl, Asha, who wishes upon a star and causes it to come down from the sky.

There’s also a traveling exhibition — Disney 100. It will premiere at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in February 2023 and travel to other big cities like Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, and Munich, Germany.

And that’s what we know about the celebration so far! To keep the anniversary excitement going, check out some of the celebratory merchandise you can look forward to. Or take a look at the new anniversary-inspired movie.
