Disney is about to celebrate something BIG!

Nope, it’s not a new movie release…although there are several of those coming up soon. And even though there are several big ride openings and additions to the theme parks planned for the future, that’s not what we’re talking about either. We’re talking about something even BIGGER than all of those things — the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company!

The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923, which means that next year is going to be a huge milestone. And you know that Disney can’t resist celebrating such an occasion! In true Disney fashion, one of the first ways we get to kick off the 100-year party is with some new merchandise.

The ears are “dripping” in platinum, with platinum being the main design theme for the 100th Anniversary due to the strength and durability of the metal itself, meant to represent just how the Disney Company has persevered over the past decades.

The Minnie Ears are similarly “dripping” in that platinum and feature a big silver bow in the center.

Those at D23 Expo will be the FIRST to get the chance to shop these, while supplies last at the D23 Expo Marketplace. You’ll want to open the D23 Expo app to join the virtual queue, and keep in mind that mobile merchandise will be your way to check out once you’ve got the ears you want.
