Come With Us To Experience Halloween on the High Seas on Disney Cruise Line

Have you ever dreamed of spending the spookiest holiday of the year at a huge party in the middle of the ocean?

Disney Cruise Line

Believe it or not, you can — thanks to Disney Cruise Line’s Halloween on the High Seas! Imagine all the festive fun of the Disney parks at Halloween but on a cruise ship taking you to fun destinations. Sound like something that might be up your alley? Come with us to Disney’s Halloween on the High Seas to see what it’s all about!

Halloween on the High Seas is a specialty cruise you can book on the Disney Cruise Line. They typically sail around (you guessed it) Halloween/Fall and offer themed experiences, shows, and more. We were invited to experience Halloween on the High Seas on the Disney Dream and are bringing you along to look at some of what we experienced!

Disney Dream

When you first come aboard the ship, it’s pretty clear that this isn’t just any old regular Disney cruise — there are Halloween decorations and festive decor everywhere you look. Here you can see Mickey pumpkin bunting and garland…and what’s that hiding in the corner down there?

Disney Dream

It’s the Pumpkin Tree! This spooky sapling is a staple of Halloween on the Disney Cruise Line, and we can clearly see why.

You’ll find more touches of Halloween throughout the ship, like this jack-o’-lantern face in a porthole.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney cruise without specialty merch, right? The designs this year look similar to what we’ve seen in the parks and online, but with a nautical twist.

Special merchandise

We even spotted this spooky ship sweatshirt complete with those adorable little ghosts we’ve seen on other Disney Halloween merchandise this year!

Spooky cruise ship!

We didn’t experience much in terms of special treats or Halloween snacks, but we were able to find Candy Corn Gelato at Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats on the ship — so of course, we got that to try out.

Special treats

There’s also trick or treating aboard Halloween on the High Seas! You can pick up a treat bag and take it from station to station to fill ‘er up — but just be warned that we ran into some pretty long lines. You might want to pack your patient pants if trick or treating is on your list.

Trick or treating

Of course, there are also special shows and experiences on the ship! Mickey’s Mousequerade Party takes place on the main deck, and features live music, dancing, and more.

Even Minnie came out to show off her Halloween costume and her moves.

There are plenty of character meet and greets on the Disney Cruise Line, and Halloween on the High Seas is no different — except the characters are usually in their costumes! We saw Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson…

It’s the Sanderson Sisters!

…and we also ran into Jack and Sally!

Jack and Sally

You can expect the same destinations, dining experiences, and other offerings during a Halloween on the High Seas cruise as you would a regular Disney cruise — just with a spooky twist and even MORE fun to be had!

This Disney Cruise Line experience is definitely one you don’t find every day, and if you’re a Halloween fanatic who can’t get enough Disney, this might be the perfect vacation for you.
