Although it’s been a couple of years since the Disney parks closed in 2020, some entertainment and amenities have only just recently returned. But apparently they haven’t all returned permanently!
At Disneyland Resort, we welcomed back the Disneyland Forever fireworks show in April 2022, and the Main Street Electrical Parade returned in the same month. But now, both of those shows are going to be LEAVING Disneyland.
Disney announced that both the Disneyland Forever fireworks show and the Main Street Electrical Parade will be leaving Disneyland on September 1st of this year. They said that both entertainment offerings would complete their “limited-time run” on that date.
Other entertainment — including World of Color at Disney California Adventure and Fantasmic! at Disneyland Park — will continue their regular schedules.
This change comes shortly after Disneyland debuted an entire new finale float as part of the Main Street Electrical Parade to celebrate the parade’s 50th Anniversary.
It sounds like the new merchandise that Disneyland released for the Main Street Electrical Parade’s return will also be disappearing with the parade this fall. Disney said, “This summer is also your chance to get your hands on the merchandise, plus the specialty eats and treats created in honor of the anniversary of the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade.'” So be sure to get the Elliot Dragon Popcorn Bucket and Turtle Sipper while you can!
If you’re hoping to see the Disneyland Forever Fireworks or the Main Street Electrical Parade, make sure you visit before September 1st. Both shows run every evening.

hopefully msep comes to the world Mk needs a nite time parade
I am Completely heart broken. The Main Street Electrical parade is my favorite all time parade. I have watched it many times at WDW. I am in the process of planning my very first trip to Disneyland and the MSEP was at the top of my list of what do to. My trip will not be the same anymore. ðŸ˜
