Over in Disney World, more and more restaurants have reopened, and in Disneyland Resort we are counting down the days until the Main Street Electrical Parade returns! But unfortunately, things haven’t quite returned to normal as the Disney parks still feel the effects of the pandemic. Hong Kong Disneyland has been closed since January 7th, 2022 — and it looks like that closure has been extended once again.

Hong Kong Disneyland has temporarily closed multiple times since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

The Hong Kong government had announced additional restrictions in January, and as a result, Disneyland was originally set to close from January 7th through January 20th.

But now, Hong Kong Disneyland will be closed for two more months. The website currently has the closure listed from now until April 20th, 2022.

The website notes that those with unused park tickets or designated in-park products with expiration dates that fall within this closure period will have those expiration dates extended. There’s also information about hotel bookings that fall during this period of more. Those who have concerns can contact Hong Kong Disneyland Resort directly for more information.
