Happy Mardi Gras! From February 5th to April 24th, Universal Studios Orlando will be home to a killer parade, delicious eats, and amazing entertainment!

Mardi Gras at Universal!

We’ve been covering EVERYTHING from the celebration, and today, we’re listing out all of our best eats from Mardi Gras! Let’s dive in!

King Cake Macaron

First up, we’re naming the King Cake Macaron, found in the Universal Tribute Store, as one of our favorite Mardi Gras treats! You can grab one for $5.

That mask decoration is so cute!

Seafood Boil

Next, let’s talk about the Seafood Boil. You can get shrimp, crawfish (or both) in your seafood boil, which comes with crawfish, andouille sausage, red bliss potatoes, and corn on the cob. The Crawfish & Shrimp Boil is $13.49, and both the Crawfish Boil and the Shrimp Boil are $11.49.

This one’s for seafood lovers!

Muffuletta

The Muffuletta is served at the French Quarter booth. It’s is made with mortadella, salami, ham, mozzarella, and provolone cheese, and has an olive relish on a toasted sesame seed bun for $7.99. Just reading about it makes us hungry!

Yum!

Beef Coxhinas

The new Beef Coxhinas from the Brazil booth is made with tender beef filled in a crispy rissole for $5.49. These snack-sized appetizers had a nice crispy outer shell with warm, tender beef inside — yum!

These were delicious

Cajun Twisted Taters

Universal’s famous twisted taters have joined the Mardi Gras lineup! We were big fans (as usual) of the Cajun Twisted Taters for $8.49. It’s potatoes; what’s not to like?

A returning favorite!

Papas Bravas

Next up, the Papas Bravas made our list! This was a dish with crispy roasted potatoes, salsa bravas, garlic aioli, and parsley. We got it for $7.99. As you can see, you get a lot of potatoes!

Yum!!

Neon Rainbows IPA

Our $10 canned Neon Rainbows New England-Style IPA was very good! Not to mention, the can itself is super fun and colorful. We’re suckers for good packaging.

Neon? Rainbows? Say no more!

Ube Ice Cream Bubble Waffle

For dessert, the Ube Ice Cream Bubble Waffle for $8.99 was a surprise winner! This fun treat is made with purple sweet potato ice cream in a matcha green tea bubble waffle, then topped with marshmallows, toasted coconut, strawberry pocky sticks, and popping candies. Sounds weird, but it was good!

This makes us happy

Creole Crab Beignets

Unsurprisingly, when you stuff a beignet with crab dip, we’re going to love it. The Creole Crab Beignets consist of cajun brown sugar-dusted beignets stuffed with creamy crab dip and scallions for $9.99. This one is a no-brainer, people.

Crab + Beignets = Joy

Meatball Garlic Bread Pressed Slider

The Meatball Garlic Bread Pressed Slider, served at the Italy booth for $7.99, was another big winner for us! It’s made with Italian meatballs and topped with mozzarella cheese, then stuffed between two slices of garlic Texas Toast.

You can’t go wrong with a sandwich!

A New Twist on Taters Cocktail

Orange, chocolate, lemon…yeah, we knew we were going to like the A New Twist on Taters cocktail. It’s made with Old Forester Bourbon, Gran Gala Orange Liqueur, brown sugar sweet potato syrup, Mexican Chocolate Bitters, and lemon juice. It’s $6.00 for a 9 oz. pour, or $13 for a 12 oz. drink with a souvenir cup.

This was so good!

Shrimp Laksa Bowl

Our Shrimp Laksa bowl, with shrimp, tofu, chicken, hard-boiled eggs, and Asian noodles in a spicy coconut curry broth was our top pick from the Southeast Asia booth! You can try it for $9.99.

This is loaded with foods!

Best Plant Based: Vegan Golden Chai Chocolate Blondies

Finally, the winner of the best plant-based dish belongs to the Vegan Golden Chai Chocolate Blondies! This treat is a chai-spiced vegan dessert bar with dark and white vegan chocolates. It’s $4.99!

This was an unexpected hit!

Honorable Mention: Classic Beignets

Our honorable mention goes out to the classic beignets. These are good, but they just don’t compare to the beignets over in Disney World!

A Mardi Gras classic!
