When you plan a Disney vacation, it is impossible to know exactly what the weather will be like on your trip.
It may be sunshine (and super hot) the whole time, you might have a few rainy days, or you might have to deal with a hurricane. But if you are currently near Disneyland or on the West Coast, stay safe, because you might have a big storm coming.
Large waves are currently moving through the Pacific Ocean following the eruption of a volcano near Tonga. Tongatapu, Tonga’s largest island, was already hit by the tsunami. Satellite imagery shows a huge cloud of ash and waves from the volcano. The west coast of the United States might feel some of the shockwaves from this eruption.
California, as well as Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, are all on a tsunami advisory, CNN reports. The shockwaves are starting to reach the Hawaiian islands, but thankfully, there is no damage and only mild flooding.
The wave is currently moving through the Hawaiian islands, and could potentially make its way to the California coast. Waves are estimated to arrive in California from 7AM to 7:30AM Pacific Standard Time.

Official are urging people to stay away from the coasts, beaches, marinas, etc, and warn that the first wave to arrive might not be the biggest. However, this is still an advisory and not a warning, so this isn’t a huge threat yet. We’ll keep you updated on everything happening with this weather advisory, so stay tuned to AllEars for more.
