The Candlelight Processional is a fan-favorite event held at the American Adventure pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase during the annual Festival of the Holidays.
During the show, guests can enjoy music from a beautiful choir while they listen to the Christmas story being told by celebrity hosts. One celebrity has been back several times to host this event, but he didn’t come to this year’s version. We just saw an update from him on Instagram about missing the event and his future plans with Candlelight Processional.
Neil Patrick Harris has been a part of the Candlelight Processional in Disney World for several years. He most recently hosted in 2019, and Disney used the filming from his performances to release a video of the show in 2020 (when the show didn’t happen live).
When Disney released the list of celebrity narrators for this year’s Candlelight Processional, many fans were surprised to see that Neil Patrick Harris was not on the list.
We just saw an update from him on Instagram about missing this year’s event.
We’re excited to see him return to the festive event soon! Keep following AllEars for more Disney World updates.

I was able to attend 2 times and I have seen Neil Patrick Harris. It is the most beautiful event & brings tears to my eyes each time. I was VERY disappointed to not be able to get a dining package this year even though I logged on early the 1st day.
