Theme park attractions come and go, and while we don’t always miss all of them, this one is going to be a tough farewell.

Coming this January, a beloved Universal Studios Florida attraction is closing forever, and there are bound to be some upset fans out there. Here’s how long you have to visit this attraction for the last time.
Click Orlando confirmed with Universal Studios that Shrek 4D and its gift shop will be permanently closing on January 10th, 2022. Shrek 4D has been open since 2003, and the ride has been compared to It’s Tough to Be a Bug in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

In this attraction, guests are given 3D “OgreVision” glasses and the twenty-minute storyline follows the events of Shrek with the ghost of Lord Farquaad and his attempts to capture Princess Fiona. Shrek and Donkey are also involved, of course.

Click Orlando noted that Universal has not yet confirmed what will replace Shrek 4D and they advised guests to keep checking their website for updates. We will be watching closely for what might replace this attraction, so keep reading AllEars for more Universal Studios news and updates!
