‘The Simpsons’ Will Return With Its FIRST Full Musical Episode!

Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox gave them access to a LOT of new intellectual property, including The Simpsons! Earlier this month a Simpsons special called The Good, The Bart, And the Loki premiered on Disney+, satirizing the critically acclaimed series Loki.

If you’re looking for even more Simpsons content, you’re in luck! The new season is just around the corner and the creators have made a big announcement!

Variety has reported that on September 26th, the 33rd season of The Simpsons will premiere with an all-musical episode featuring Frozen star Kristen Bell! Bell will be serving as Marge Simpson’s singing, a noted change from the typical, gravely voice done by Julie Kavner.

At the Comic-Con panel “The Simpsons Season 33 and Beyond”, it was announced that the new episode would be called “The Star of the Backstage” and the dialogue would be almost 100% sung.

At the same panel, the team behind the show also revealed a number of ambitious episodes including one about Homer’s past and another that serves as a love letter to shows like Fargo.
