We’re not going to lie — we’re still reeling from that last episode of Loki. But, Disney has SO much more entertainment planned out for fans of all ages!
And, we’re calling all Disney animation fans, because a fan-favorite show was renewed and a NEW series was just announced!
Screen Rant has shared that Disney’s Amphibia will return for season 3 on Saturday, October 2nd at 9:30AM EST on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. The Emmy-nominated show will kick the season off with an extended-length episode.
According to a panel from Comic-Con@Home — the 2021 remote and digital version of the famous San Diego Comic-Con — the third season will follow the main character, 13-year-old Anne and the frog family of the Plantars as they go from Amphibia back to Los Angeles. The out-of-place frog family has to hide their identities as talking frog people as they navigate the modern world.
The third season of Amphibia will also include a 22-minute Christmas special with a song written by Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe). The guest stars for the upcoming season, as announced by Screen Rant, will be Whoopi Goldberg, RuPaul Charles, Kate Micucci, Brad Garrett, and Anika Noni Rose.
