As the reopening process continues at both Disneyland and Disney World, more and more Disney traditions and details are coming back, too! From the return of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar to the explosive comeback of fireworks at Disney World, there’s lots happening at the parks!
With so many big things coming back, it can be easy to miss some of the small but meaningful things that make Disney magical. But that’s why we’re here, to keep you up on the latest happenings in Disney! With that in mind, we’re happy to report that yet another Disney tradition is back.
The Magic Kingdom has joined Disneyland in bringing back their Daily Flag Retreat! On July 1st, Magic Kingdom resumed their Daily Flag Retreat, picking an Armed Forces Veteran from among the park’s guests that day to join in on the ceremony.
Disneyland has been doing its Daily Flag Retreat since its reopening on April 30th. The event consists of the Pledge of Allegiance (led by an Active Duty or Veteran Member of the Armed Forces), a performance of “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner” by the Main Street Philharmonic marching band.
