Over the past several years, we’ve seen Disney release live action adaptations of a variety of their animated classics.
One of the upcoming live action adaptations the company has planned is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. And now, they have announced who will be starring in the upcoming film!
According to Deadline, Disney has cast Rachel Zegler as Snow White! Zegler is a newer actress who will soon be seen as the lead character, Maria, in Steven Spielberg’s re-make of West Side Story, which premieres later this year.
The new live action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is expected to “expand upon the story and music from the original”. There are high expectations for the music, as Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (you might know their music from The Greatest Showman and La La Land) will be writing the new songs!
