If you’re heading to Disney World, then you’re probably expecting to find some Disney characters out and about.

Even though traditional meet-and-greets and parades aren’t happening right now, you can find your favorite pals in cavalcades at each of the four parks. You’ll also often spot them waving at guests from a distance in random places, and some of these interactions are can’t-miss experiences. Today, we’re sharing our list of the top character experiences in Disney World right now!
Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers in Hollywood Studios
Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can often spot everyone’s favorite chipmunks — Chip ‘n’ Dale! Recently, they started showing up in their costumes from Rescue Rangers, and let us just say that we couldn’t handle the cuteness.

You’ll also sometimes spot them having a picnic off of Hollywood Boulevard. It took all of our self-control to not abandon our park plans and join them for lunch!

Mickey & Friends in Magic Kingdom
If you’re heading in or out of Magic Kingdom, you’ll be sure to pass by the Main Street Train Station. When you’re in this area, keep your eyes peeled for Mickey and friends, because they typically pop up here a few times each day!

You’ll also find other popular Disney characters here from time to time, including the Disney princesses. However, Mickey and his pals take the cake — what could be more “Disney” than saying hello to the main mouse himself?!

The Country Bears in Magic Kingdom
Also in Magic Kingdom, make sure to stop by Frontierland and say hello to the Country Bears. Throughout the day, you’ll often spot a couple of the bears hanging out on the balcony above Country Bear Jamboree.

While they may not be insanely popular characters, boy are they fun to interact with! They’ll dance, crack jokes, and make friends more easily than you’ve ever seen. And here’s a tip — if a cavalcade happens to come by while they’re out, make sure to watch them…they REALLY get into it!

Donald & Daisy in Hollywood Studios
Are you looking to be thoroughly entertained by your character interactions? Well, then you need to look for a certain pair of ducks in Hollywood Studios! We’ve seen Donald and Daisy a few times and each visit, they seem to get more and more charming.

We really loved seeing Donald with his watering can in front of the Chinese Theatre (it might have even been our favorite character interaction), but then he paired up with Daisy and they took things up a notch by having a dance contest! We spotted them recently hanging out on the balcony above the bathrooms at the park entrance, and we could’ve stayed there and danced the day away.

Winnie the Pooh & Joy in EPCOT
Over in front of the Imagination Pavilion in EPCOT, two sweet Disney friends love to hang out — Joy from Inside Out and Winnie the Pooh! They alternate appearances throughout the day, but they’ve been making consistent visits to this area since the park reopened.

Whether Pooh is swinging around his butterfly net or Joy is frolicking about in a field, these are interactions that your kiddos are sure to love.

The Stepsisters in Magic Kingdom
If you’re hanging out in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, be on the lookout for Cinderella’s stepsisters to pop up and greet guests. When the parks first reopened, they were often seen waving from the castle balcony, but these days, they tend to hang out in front of Princess Fairytale Hall.

These two are especially fun because they’re not exactly “good guys.” They say pretty ridiculous and hilarious things and we can’t help but laugh every time they give a tongue-in-cheek answer to one of our questions.

Surprise Resort Visits
Recently, Disney has been offering some bonus character fun outside of the parks, as many of our favorites have been making visits to the Resort hotels! You never really know when or where they’re going to show up, but when they pop up unexpectedly, it’s all the more exciting!

Typically, these pop-up appearances feature the Fab 5: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. And if you head out to the front of the resort, you may even spot their character caravan!

If you weren’t pumped about interacting with characters in Disney World before, then we hope you are now! Besides these socially distanced meet-and-greets, there are tons of fun cavalcades, motorcades, and flotillas that run through the parks with other characters (some of which are pretty rare!).
