Jungle Cruise at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom is getting a major overhaul with a new storyline and characters throughout.

We’ve seen the work going on in Magic Kingdom as some scenes from the ride have disappeared, ready to be replaced by the new pieces coming in. We’ve learned a bit about the storyline up until this point, and now we know what the grand finale of the ride is going to be!
At the end of Jungle Cruise, guests used to encounter Trader Sam, the “head salesman.” Skippers would often joke that he’s got a great deal, “two of his heads for one of yours!” This figure has been removed from the ride as part of the transformation, and now we know what’s going in his place.

Instead of Trader Sam himself, guests will now find his gift shop — made entirely of items that former travelers left behind on the boats! Alberta Falls entrusted Sam to manage the Lost & Found location here, but Sam’s always looking for a way to make a quick buck. Who could be surprised what he did with the place?

But, while Sam is out running some errands, it looks like some mischievous animals have found his shop! It wouldn’t be the Jungle Cruise without the creatures getting into something. Plus, as we all know…every good ride ends in a gift shop. 😉
