Update: Volcano Bay later announced that it would be closing at 3PM, rather than 5PM.
There’s been a lot of talk recently about whether the hurricane season would be starting earlier this year in Florida.
As we’ve given you tips and tricks on how to handle intense weather in the theme parks, today is definitely one of the days you’ll need to implement them. There has been rain, a severe thunderstorm watch, and more that have caused attractions to close down in Florida’s theme parks. And, now an entire theme park announced that it will be closing early today.
Due to the inclement weather, Universal’s Volcano Bay will be closing at 5PM today. In order to keep guests and Team Members safe during the severe weather, Universal’s other parks may be closing certain attractions as well.
