Did the Latest ‘Falcon and the Winter Solder’ Episode Reveal Its TRUE Big Bad?

Ever since the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’s been a wild look into a post-Blip world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The show has already been drawing in a HUGE amount of fans who want to know what Bucky and Sam are up against. And, we might have a massive clue of what’s in store for the rest of the series… .

There have been an entire slew of villains either announced or hinted at during the first two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As Helmut Zemo has appeared on the posters for the show, the Flag Smashers have become the group causing chaos in the MCU. John F. Walker is even looking a little suspicious to us (or maybe he’s just oblivious to possible bad things happening behind the scenes).

In reality, though, Marvel may have just given us a huge hint to an overarching villain that could be affecting the rest of the MCU. The Flag Smashers have been revealed to be genetically modified super soldiers, similar to Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier. But, these baddies are certainly not Winter Soldiers.

You might recall that during Captain America: Civil War, Zemo murdered the Winter Soldiers that had been created in order to lure the Avengers and cause them to fight. Yet, it seems like someone’s out there making the rounds yet again with another working version of the super soldier serum. And, now this person is making the serum to manufacture as well as churning out chaotic, strong “soldiers” who want to return back to the way the Blip was.

Karli Morgenthau, one of the head Flag Smashers, dropped a HUGE bomb this past episode when she said “Power Broker,” though. The Power Broker is one Curtiss Jackson, a power-hungry businessman, who teams up with mad scientist Dr. Karl Malus to make a profit out of genetically enhancing and modifying his clients. Power Broker is in it for money since he’s raking in a huge profit from his clients.

It’s not necessarily revealed that the serum was in that truck, but there’s a high chance that the Flag Smashers were carrying cargo of the dangerous serum. If a bunch of regular people were injected with the serum, it would be absolute chaos. And, that’s where Zemo might come into this whole plot. He was working towards destroying the Avengers. So, what better way is there to do this to outnumber them with soldiers that have the same strength?

Of course, Zemo hates genetically modified individuals, so he wouldn’t mind getting rid of them once they did his bidding. It would be a perfect world to him with both the Avengers and these super soldiers wiped out, which could be his version of a Thanos inspired world. Yet, Walker could always redeem himself by making a deal with the Power Broker to become Super-Patriot (and then hopefully aiding the Avengers, not the other way around).
