Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been undergoing extensive construction.

The entryway, lobby, and monorail station are all being refurbished, and the splash area by the pool is seeing some work. The guest rooms are also getting a Moana-style makeover — and today, we’re sharing a first look into one of those rooms!
Disney just shared a peek inside one of the reimagined rooms, and it’s gorgeous! The entire space features a Pacific Ocean-inspired color palette, which Disney hopes will evoke “undulating ocean waves and tropical flowers.”

There’s also textures, details, and touches from Moana. A large piece of art on one side of the room showcases Maui and Moana . The pattern looks just like Maui’s tattoos!

You can spot other characters from the film scattered around the room! Hei Hei is hiding by the coffee bar…

…and trusty Pua is featured in art by the bed!

The room boasts all-new furnishings and features: Disney states that the bathroom’s tiles and vanity are inspired by the “sandy ocean floor.” We’re loving the neutral tones throughout this room.

This TikTok shares another little sneak peek of the rooms!

I like the new rooms they are brighter. I did like the fan more than the air conditioner then I could open the door and let fresh air in too. I always requested upper floors for that reason. I loved the night sounds of Disney. I was at the Polynesian at least 5 x out of 13. First in 1995. I still made a stop there if I stayed on Disney other times, just to see change and it does keep changing. Capt Jacks sure has changed, miss the little store by the elevator and stairs down stairs. The pools sure have changed too.But I think all to the better.
Why is Disney removing the ceiling fans? The air conditioning doesn’t need to be set so low if you have some air movement.
